01.09 Nothing to Fear

We are back! It has been so long since this show was on! I can't believe there's only been 8 episodes. Feels like much longer. 
Rewind: Anastasia, Will, Cyrus, and Alice are in a field. Will got struck by lightning which caused Alice to get hurt too because she linked them in a wish. He wishes to end Alice's suffering and it frees Cyrus. But Will has in turn become a genie.

Will is in the bottle going down a very rapid river. "Bloody hell!"
A naked (covered in a towel) Liz finds his bottle and releases him from it.
He walks away and she tells him to come back. He takes out three rubies from his pockets and says "Mistress mine, my will is thine" and realizes he's a genie. And she's his master. *mischievous face*

Opening title sequence: Some purple thing, not sure. Looks like a pawn piece

Alice wakes up and looks up to see Cyrus standing at the door of their secret hidden tent. They smile and are both in disbelief. The Red Queen interrupts before they can kiss. Alice doesn't seem to remember what happened to Will and wants to leave the Queen and Will and Wonderland. Cyrus tells her that all the Queen wants is to be reunited with her love.

Jafar walks into Anastasia's throne room "I'm the master of Wonderland now"
He looks over at his father's cage which he brought over with him. "You enjoy the view father?"
"Where you sit Jafar, is nothing more than a large chair."
Jafar: You tried to murder your own son
Father: If only I had succeeded, the world would be a far better place
*He stares at Jafar, dramatic music plays*
Jafar looks away first. "Remove him!"

The Caterpillar comes and tell Jafar he was unable to locate the genie bottle. Jafar wants to kill the Caterpillar but instead, the Caterpillar offers up another way. A creature so scary that no one would dare speak its name: It is called...the Jabberwocky

The Red Queen complains about walking in the mud. Alice say something about getting everyone else's hands dirty but her own.
Red Queen: Cyrus, you should really teach your girlfriend some manners. Before someone else does.

As they are walking through the forest, Alice and Cyrus are quite awkward. They just have a lot to catch up on. Cyrus: We'll find time to be together. Then she notices that the queen is no longer behind them.

Liz: Why risk your life going back to save Alice and Cyrus?
Will: I can't make anyone fall in love (She looks disappointed)
Liz: How about you tell me something you want and I wish it for you?
Will: Beer! Beer for everyone!

A group of villagers hold up jewelry they got. Then we see Anastasia sitting on the floor. She was kidnapped by them.
Villager: Now you darling will be the one to suffer

Jafar opens a box with a Tweedle's head in it. "Tweedle, you were so useful to me. Sorry to see you didn't come out ahead"
The Tweedle asks for a body in return for information about the Jabberwocky
"It took 500 men and Wonderland's most powerful magic to imprison the Jabberwocky"
Jafar picks up the head and puts it on the body of the soldier hose head he just cut off

We see Will chugging a beer with people chanting "Knave Knave Knave Knave"
She and Liz try to figure out the next wish.

Moss from the north side of the tree
Stone as white as moonlight
Feather. An owl's but it'll have to do
Cyrus puts all this together with a piece of Anastasia's dress and does a locating spell.
He was taught magic by his mother
Alice: I wish I could have met your family
(This is probably the first in a long time that she could "I wish")

Jafar arrives at a tower that was shown in the opening title sequence. There are pawn pieces outside on the bridge leading to it. A soldier blocks his way. He kills the soldier who is just trying to protect everyone from the Jabberwocky.

Anastasia is tied to a tree by the villagers. They plan to feed her to the creatures that ransack their village every winter. She tries to save her own life by convincing them to offer her up for ransom. They tell her to give a name of someone who would pay for her. She comes to a realization that no one cares about her.
Cyrus and Alice come to the rescue but they end up being captured too.They're about to be eaten by wolf like monsters and Alice/Cyrus hold hands. It's Alice's amulet that is glowing and attracting their attention. She throws it and they have to leave it behind.

Will looks for Liz sitting alone in a barn. He figures out that she's in love with someone. She asks what he looks for in a girl. He says confidence, sense of adventure, looks great in a dress, fireworks go off. She wishes for that and gets transformed. She is wearing a slinky white dress and has her hair all fancy. Fireworks are going off in the distance. She tells Will that it's him. It's always been him.

Alice tells Cyrus of her fear. Of there always being one more mission. And they will never get to start their life together.
They see the fireworks and figure out that it came from a wish. "And we just found our genie."

Jafar, in the tower, sees a bunch of soldiers pale and dead.
A woman's voice asks why he is there. She gets inside his head.

Alice, Cyrus, and Anastasia arrive at a lake next to the village with the fireworks. Cyrus suggests they split up to look for Will. The Red Queen walks off and Cyrus takes this opportunity to kiss Alice. She smiles. He tells her he knew how hard it was for her to give up her necklace. He shows her a ring. "We were rudely interrupted at the Boiling Sea. I believe I was about to ask you a question."
Alice: I said yes so quickly I didn't let you make your speech
Cyrus: It was gong to be about me risking my life for you and making sure nothing was ever going to keep us apart. We've done that now. What do I say to the woman who's traveled worlds and risked her life to find me?
He kneels
Cyrus: For now and for the years to come, whether we monrats or fighting evil sorcerers or just watching the clouds make their way across the sky. I will love you. And every moment will be a thrilling adventure for me because I'll be spending it with you. Alice, will you marry me?
Alice: Yes. And yes again and again forever.
Cyrus puts the ring on her "Now you don't have to be afraid anymore"
(All this time, the fireworks have been going off in the background)

Liz makes her third wish. "I wish you could just feel something for me"
She dies. It makes Will feel sadness
The queen finds her dead on the floor but the bottle is there too!
Alice and Cyrus search for the queen and the bottle.
Alice: Where did you find it?
Queen: Your little friend the lizard had it
Alice: What did you do to her?
Queen: She was already dead when I found her

Will doesn't want to be with Anastasia. "I'd rather take my chances with the homicidal maniac with the snake stick"
Anastasia tell them about the other two genie bottles.
Cyrus: Those other genies, they're my brothers. The three of us, we were cursed into the bottles at the same time.
Alice: We will stay and we'll save them
Will says his goodbyes but the queen surprises them by saying that she will stay and help fight because she's been a bad queen for her people.

Back to Jafar
Jabberwocky: I have decided to join you.
Jafar has to free her first. He looks up and sees her nailed to a board. He pulls out the knife in her heart and she falls down. Her bones crack and rearrange. She thanks him "Thank you. I am known as the Jabberwocky"
She tries to get rid of the knife that was in her heard but he decides to keep it
Jabberwocky: What are you afraid of Jafar?
Jafar: I am afraid of nothing
Jabberwocky: Not even the feeling of water filling your lungs? The feeling of your father's hands holding you down
He begins to drown while standing there. (It is her magic)
Jabberwocky: Maybe you're right Jafar, you should hold onto that blade. You never know when you might need it.
And she walks off.


Well, that was an exciting first episode back of 2014. I absolutely love the show. Still hating the red queen. And love that Alice and Cyrus are finally together. It's great that he got to ask her to marry him but too bad she lost her amulet. I really liked that thing. Thought it was cool. Can't believe I waited so long to watch it (it's Monday 2:30am right now.) Also, I'm trying to find the actress who plays the Jabberwocky. She looks so familiar.

December 12 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.08 Home

01.08 Home

Flashback:
Alice and Cyrus are sitting next to a fire looking up at the stars.
They stars being to fall (this looks more like magic snow)
"One kiss under the falling stars will give you good fortune"
"If you want to kiss me, you don't have to make up a story"
*They make out*
*She begins to unbutton his shirt* and finds a compass that goes in infinite directions
He got it from his mother
She discovers he hasn't always been a genie
The compass has great magic and will always point towards her
But some years ago, it stopped pointing (means she died)
Someone puts a sword to Cyrus's neck
They want Cyrus's bottle
"I am not to be trifled with!"
"Unfortunately, neither is she"
*Fight ensues*
The men run
"I guess the stars did bring us luck, they barely even scratched me
*she bleeds and passes out*

Opening Title Sequence: White Rabbit

Wonderland:
Alice is hiding behind a tree
Will appears
"You frightened me, where have you been?"
"Sorry, nature was calling"
"Really? What did it say?"
"Nothing you want to hear"
There's guards walking around who are looking for Cyrus
Alice knows where he's going
"The only place where he knows he's safe" "He just needs to get there before they get him"

Cyrus is running. He gets caught in a trap.

Tweedle walking by a bush hears Cyrus struggling.
"Thank you grape vine, the queen will be pleased"
(LOL It's a literal grape vine)
He sees his brother, the other Tweedle meeting up with Jafar

He goes the queen to tell her that Cyrus has been captured in the forest
And also that his brother gave Jafar a bag
She goes to a locked up shelf (this is the shelf from that episode where she becomes the new queen and she tried to steal that crown. But now it is locked up)
She opens one of the drawers and pulls out a box with a checkers design (black and red) on it. The box is empty inside. The Queen is pissed.

Alice and Will are heading to the Outlands
They made a promise that if they ever get separated, they'll always meet up there
But she wants to stop at the White Rabbit's house first

Flashback:
Cyrus carries Alice to the White Rabbit
(Rabbit's wife sounds like Whoopi Goldberg)
She has boobs
They have children

Wonderland:
The Queen lets Cyrus down
They drive off

Jafar has the three bottles...at last
He compares the weight of two of them and discovers Cyrus's bottle to be a fake
He smashes it *Hulk rage!!*

Alice and Will arrive at Rabbit's hovel and Alice sees something wrong
"Maybe he abandoned the place"
"Or maybe that's just what he wants people to think"
She knocks. No answer. She kicks the door in.
Rabbit is all sad
She knows he betrayed her and she needs his help so they could go home
The Queen took his family
What if we rescued them?
Will says he doesn't know where the Queen might stash something important but she knows where Anastasia might.

The Queen and Cyrus pull up to a small wagon. She looks concerned.
She goes inside and it is revealed it's her Anastasia stuff (her pink dress is there)
She gets Cyrus's bottle and tells him he has a big decision to make

Flashback:
Cyrus is pacing outside Rabbit's house
Rabbit tells him she's going to be fine...for now
He also says what about next time? Alice has always wanted a real home.
"Perhaps the only way to protect Alice is to let her go"

Storybrooke:
Jafar storms the castle
"YOUR MAJESTY!!"
There's a box with Jafar's name on it
He opens it to see the Tweedle's head in there "I think she's onto us"
Jafar goes to the Queen's room and looks at her stuff. He picks up her hair brush and steals a hair
He evily flies away on his magic carpet and burns the castle in the process

The Queen and Cyrus see the burning castle
She makes a chess metaphor

Flashback:
Cyrus is in the Caterpillar's bar
He offers his magic compass in exchange for helping someone disappear

Storybrooke:
Will, Alice, and the Rabbit arrive at the wagon
Will goes inside and touches the pink dress
He sees the empty box where the bottle used to be
He hears something and saves the Rabbit family
THIS IS SO CREEPY
They have to head to the Outlands. (She seems to know where it is)

Cyrus and Queen are heading to the Outlands
"How are you so sure she's going to be there?"
"Because she thinks I'm going to be there"
The Queen wishes for Cyrus to shut up

Jafar is doing something with the Queen's hair
Most likely a locator spell
It creates a small storm cloud inside a glass case (a bit like the one that hold the Beast's rose)
He releases the storm cloud out the window and tells it to "find the Red Queen and kill her"

Flashback:
Alice and Cyrus are walking
She talks about a mountain she's heard of. Where we can stand on top of the clouds
He tells her that they're too dangerous together. He tries to leave her.
"The only thing that could hurt me is being apart from you"
He points to an empty space next to a rock. They walk into it and it looks like a fancy tent inside
"A home"
"You know that they say sacrifice is the measure of true love"

Wonderland:
Alice, Will, and Rabbit arrive and Alice goes inside.
Cyrus hasn't arrived yet
She's confused and looking for a note
"We're not leaving without Cyrus"
She looks out the door and sees Cyrus there
They run towards each other and embrace
"Even in my dreams I was afraid to imagine this moment in fear it may never come true. You're here!"
They kiss
The Queen appears behind them. "She's here to help us" DUN DUN DUNNNN
"DIG BUNNY!!"

Alice demands to know why the Queen made the deal with Jafar.
I thought he could get me what I wanted
"You" (She wanted Will)
"You'll never have me"
Jafar looks outside the window "There you are...darling... See you soon"

The Queen begs Alice to believe her. Cyrus tells them that she's telling the truth.
Alice tells Rabbit to dig a hole. (I feel like he's just their little servant. He's always standing there looking all cute and helpless and digging when someone commands him to)
The thunder cloud tries to hit the Queen but she deflects it and it hits Will. Alice falls because of her first wish (If the Knave dies, then I do too)
Anastasia attends to Will and Cyrus attends to Alice.
Cyrus commands her to make her last wish. "No I don't want to put you back in the bottle again"
Will reminds Alice that she promised him a wish if he helped find Cyrus.
"Be very careful what you wish for Will"

"I wish to end Alice's suffering"
Magic yellow-orange woosh.
Alice wakes up. Cyrus discovers his shackles are gone. "My binds, they're gone. They're gone. Alice, I'm free!"
Rabbit: The Knave, he wished to end Alice's suffering. Part of your pain was not being able to be with the one you loved
They turn around and see that Will is not there anymore
Queen: He's gone. He was here, and now he's gone
Cyrus: Oh no...
Queen: What?? Where is he?
Cyrus: Where's the bottle?
Will wake up in the bottle. "Oh...bloody hell"
He's in the water being dragged down a very large waterfall

CLIFFHANGER!!!!
I hope to see Cyrus and Alice happily together and for the Queen to go back to her Anastasia self.

December 5 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.07 Bad Blood

Previously...we saw Cyrus jumping off the cliff and Jafar talking to Alice's father.

01.07 Bad Blood

Agrabah many years ago:
Jafar is a young boy and he's telling his mother not to leave him. (She is on her deathbed.) She tells him that his father will take care of him. "Go to him at the palace." "But only the Sultan is there." 
She hands Jafar a ring "this belonged to him, he will remember."
The wind picks up and she slowly passes away with sand floating out of her body. 

England:
Jafar is still wearing the ring and he's speaking to Alice's father.
He says he'll show the father where Alice went and lets the White Rabbit out of the bag.
The Rabbit makes a portal. "Where are you taking me?" "Some people call it: Wonderland"

Opening title sequence: A dragon flies into the frame and flaps its wings at us

Wonderland:
Jafar, Rabbit, and Alice's father land in Wonderland.
The Rabbit is dismissed. 
Alice's father is in disbelief. 
Jafar: What child wouldn't want to be rescued by their father?

Meanwhile, Alice: I could be with Cyrus by nightfall
Will has doubts.
Alice: Finding Cyrus is 99% of the battle. The rest will take care of itself
There are random mushrooms growing everywhere

Tweedle goes to the Queen to tell her they haven't found Cyrus.
Jafar appears when she's revealing her plan to the Tweedle.

Back at Jafar's fortress, a guard is fixing Cyrus's cage.
He yells at the old man
Jafar goes to Alice's passed out father who is constrainted
He draws some blood and puts it in a pewter, creating a potion

Alice and Will stare at the floating fortress.
They empty their pockets "taking inventory"
Will has a dollar bill and "keys to Granny's," a peanut...a stale peanut
They hear chirping. It's a birdbark tree!! Their wood is amazing! 
She breaks off a branch and watches it float.

Jafar asks "are you right handed or left handed?"
He's obviously making a polyjuice potion. 

Flashback:
Young Jafar is brought in front of the Sultan
"You are to lose the hand of which you stole"
Jafar kneels and shows the hand with the ring on it.
The Sultan comes to the conclusion that Jafar is his son.
"Thank you father" "You will not use that word. I am not your father, you are not my son"

Will: Can you tell me what your plan is?
Have you ever been in a hot air balloon? I'm going to build a basket, attach some of the birdbark to it and float up to the castle.
Jafar appears as her father. "Alice you were right! About this place, about everything! Can you ever forgive me?" He hugs her.
He tells her a story of buying a looking glass and going through it.
Alice: Now what?
Father: I just want to make it up to you.
Alice: You never treated me like a daughter. I was always an obligation.

Flashback:
Jafar is serving a meeting with foreign emissaries.
The Sultan asks his son to explain why they cannot stop the blockade in one of the foreign lands.
The son, unable to answer, is shown up by Jafar. Then dismissed by the Sultan.
The son goes to Jafar and begins slapping him. (This son is younger and remarkably shorter.)
I'm starting to think the old man might be the little brother. But then again, he looks older than Jafar so maybe not.
The Sultan enters and tells his son to slap him again.

Wonderland:
Jafar asks Will for help. Will tells him it takes time and help her find her genie.

We see Cyrus lying on an island below the floating castle

Alice asks what Will was talking to her father about and whether or not she should forgive him.
Jafar, sitting on a nearby rock, begins drawing in the sand and reciting a spell.
Will asks whether Alice thought about how they will get back down.
She responds with something along the lines of "I've done a calculation" "extra weight" "trajectory" "back in the water"
"It's physics Knave"
A dragon appears in the sky and flies at them
They use what they've made of the basket as a shield.
They run into the forest
The dragon looks so fake
It attacks Alice's father. She defeats it by throwing her sword at the dragon. It somehow "kills" it
You're not a horrible man, I've faced a horrible man here in Wonderland.

Flashback:
Jafar is washing his face and the Sultan appears and speaks to him.
The Sultan tries to drown Jafar in the tub of water.
Throw him out with the rest of the rubbish.

Wonderland:
Alice's father is praying and thanking God for the food.
He speaks to the old man who tells him about Cyrus and Alice.

Alice, Will, and Jafar are eating the dragon.
She realizes that it's not really her father because he did not pray before eating the food.
Will and Alice go off into the forest. Jafar follows and conjures the cobra from the ground.
He turns back into Jafar

Jafar grabs Alice's real father and threatens to drop him into the water
He apologizes to Alice. "I blamed you" and "I doubted you"
She said "the times I ran away, I was just trying to find proof of where I've been"
"I don't want to take another thing away from you. I only want to give you one thing: hope. Cyrus has escaped. Save him, not me!"
She makes a wish to send her father back home.

Alice has a tear on her face
Will apologizes and Alice says she's not sorry because now she has her father safe and Cyrus has escaped.

England:
Alice's father wakes up back home and his new wife walks in. "Edwin, what's wrong?"
She tells him it was just a dream and to go back to bed

Wonderland:
Jafar pulls the old man's cage closer
Let's chat face to face like a man.

Flashback:
Grownup Jafar storms into the palace using his magic cobra and confronts the Sultan.
The Sultan does not recognize him
"Look at my face and tell me [if you know who I am]"
Jafar's half brother comes in but runs away when Jafar asks him to fight.
He kills him using magic
All Jafar wants is "call me your son" "just say the words"
"I will never give you what you want"

Wonderland:
My only regret is not holding you under the water longer.
I'm going to take away the one thing that matters to you.
He jumps off the ledge but is saved by the magic carpet.

Cyrus wakes up. "Alice"

November 21 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.06 Who's Alice

01.06 Who's Alice

London:
Man is painting
BOOM! Jafar appears from the ground.
Jafar is looking for the Bethlem Asylum
He steals the man's suit

Meanwhile in the asylum, the bald doctor guy is dripping some red thing into his drink
Jafar knocks on the door and asks about a previous patient
"Long hair, blue eyes. Name of Alice."
The doctor denies knowing Alice or the talking rabbit.
Jafar pulls out a bag with the White Rabbit (looking quite sad) inside the bag

Opening title sequence: A purple flower gives off fumes

Wonderland:
The Red Queen goes to Jafar's tower and sees that Cyrus is no longer there.
She attempts to question the old man.
The man lies about Jafar taking Cyrus him
"If Jafar took Cyrus with him, he would have used the KEY"
Old man: He carries with him the greatest power of all...true love

Elsewhere, Cyrus is scaling down the tower.
When he lands, he closes his eyes and says "Alice, where are you?"
He opens his eyes and sees Alice's amulet glowing "Stay strong"

Alice runs into two thugs who try to take her amulet.
She beats them up.
"Be careful who you threaten, love"

Victorian England. One year ago:
A table with a tea set all set up
BOOM! Alice appears out of the ground
She cries out "Cyrus! No!" (Cyrus just died)
A little girl in a pink dress appears and tries to help Alice find her way home
The father of the little pink girl is Alice's father.
She tells her father that Cyrus is gone because the Red Queen killed him. (The man I was going to marry)
Alice is introduced to her new sister and mother: Millie and Sarah

Wonderland:
Alice approaches the Black Forest. She sees a bunch of signs "Seems like an awful waste of wood when one sign would do. I mean, is it really that bad?"
The signs:
-Dead end of the queen's road
-Abandon all hope ye who enter
-Turn back
-Black forest beware
-Endless night awaits
-Enter at risk

She sticks her hand in what looks like a black portal.
Alice bravely walks in
The Knave walks into an old man and asks for water "Have you ever been stoned?"
The two thugs see the Knave and tells him where to go.
Alice in the forest, just tells herself to "keep walking in a straight line, keep walking west"
The fire she is holding goes out.
Suddenly, a bright light appears and she runs towards it.
She walks into a clearing with trees that have beautiful purple flowers that gives off puffs of purple fumes
Alice encounters the Carpenter (He tells her that the place is called Boro Grove)
He tries to convince her to stay and she begins to forget her goal
"Maybe I'll stay awhile"

Flashback:
Alice's father asks how long she intends to stay.
"Forever, there is nothing left for me in Wonderland"
He tells her not to tell Millie about Wonderland or the genie because she's impressionable
"So I should just sweep them under the rug. Like you did with mother and with me?"
He tells Alice that she has to be happy if she wants to live in the house with them
Alice tears up.
She asks if he really wants her there.

Wonderland:
The Red Queen is tracking Cyrus
We find out that the Lady-Gaga men are actually the Tweedles!!
Something about the Queen knowing how to get her hands dirty

Knave finds himself in Boro Grove and discovers Alice picking flowers
She also made a shrine for her sword (Peace not war! JK)

Flashback:
Alice is wearing a white dress with a very high collar
She's being cordial to her new family
Her step-mother tries to set Alice up with a boy down the street
"All you have to do, is smile"
She freaks out and breaks her glass
"I think some troubles take longer to forget"

Wonderland:
Cyrus is running in the woods.
He comes across a river and makes tracks in the ground

The Knave is trying to convince Alice to leave.
She seems to have forgotten all her troubles
The Carpenter is very creepy
As the Knave tries to punch the Carpenter, a leaf pops out of his neck
The Knave realizes that all the trees are people who have gotten stuck there in the Grove!
Alice has suddenly forgotten her name

Flashback:
Alice is having a ngihtmare about Cyrus's death
She is awakend by Millie
Millie insists on Alice telling her about her bad dream and about Cyrus
Alice's dad and Sarah tells Alice that she is not trying hard enough to be happy

Wonderland:
The Knave tries to pull Alice out of the place but she grabs her sword and starts swingng at him
She tells him that she is happy where she is and that she wants to stay
The Knave thanks Alice for getting his heart back for him.
As he falls to the ground, she begins to become a tree
She sees the tree stump and "No, I'm not going anywhere, I finally found a home"

Meanwhile, the Queen tracks Cyrus to the river
"If I were a frightened little genie, which way would I run?
She uses magic to reveal Cyrus's footprints going into the woods

Flashback:
Alice, in another high collared dress (this time blue)
Her parents introduce young Darcy to her
She calmly storms out
Alice accuses her dad of marrying someone he doesn't truly love
"It took you years to forget mother....why do you think I can forget Cyrus in just a few days?"
He tells her that she can not stay with them if she doesn't forget about it
He proposes to send her to a "mad house"
"You can let Sarah find you a husband or you can live in a hospital"

Wonderland:
The Knave is still trying to convince Alice
He picks up the amulet and she attacks him with the tree
The amulet slips out of his hand and into Alice's 
She suddenly wakes up and remembers everything

The Queen corners Cyrus. 
We discover that they are on a floating island 

Flashback:
Alice is dressed up in a dress much like Madeline's in the cartoon/books. But blue
With her suitcase packed and in her hand
She mournfully awaits the cart to come pick her up
Her father is inside talking with Sarah.
Alice steps into the carriage

Wonderland:
The Knave leads Alice out of the forest
She is cringing in pain from getting all her worries back at the same time
It is revealed to the Knave that Anastasia is the one who turned him back into a human
And Alice discovers that after she found his heart, he never put it back into his body

On the island, Cyrus and the Queen are at a standstill
Cyrus jumps after seeing the glowing amulet across the way


England:
A gloved hand knocks on a door
It is Alice's father's house and it is Jafar knocking
"I know your daughter and I know where she went"
"Alice? You've seen her?
"Yes, and I can take you to her"


As always, the good guy/girl's weakness his/her heart and compassion. Jafar is obviously using Alice's father to lure her in and to steal her wishes. I am still wondering what power the three genies will give to Jafar.

November 14 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.05 Heart of Stone

01.05 Heart of Stone

Flashback:
We start off in the cabin right where we left off. Will (the knave of hearts) and Anastasia (the red queen) are preparing to jump into the magic mirror that Will stole from Maleficent. But Anastasia's mother walks in. Her mother is disappointed in Anastasia because he doesn't have a title, she worked very hard to get her daughter to become a queen. "At least I have your sisters." (I just realized that this might be the same Anastasia that is Cinderella's step-sister.)

Opening title sequence: A horse-drawn carriage. (Looks similar to the one that the red queen was in in an earlier episode)

Wonderland:
We see the red queen standing on a cliff looking down into an abyss filled with sharp pointy rocks. She tries to step off but doesn't. 
Alice drapes a blanket over Will's head to protect him from "rain, snow, or anything that falls from the sky."
Red queen appears and offers Alice a deal: Find magic dust in exchange for finding Cyrus

Back in Cyrus's tower, the old man he is trapped with is dragged back into his cage. 
Cyrus questions what and why the old man is there.
His punishment (today) was to push giant, man-sized rocks up stone steps. His reason for imprisonment is that he, like Cyrus, has something that Jafar wants.
Cyrus shows the old man that the ring he has been carving on the bottom of the cage with the wishbone is almost complete.

Flashback: 
Anastasia and Will are scavenging for food, Will finds a mushroom and is about to take a bite when Anastasia says that's the kind that will make him grow bigger. "And the wagon is small enough as it is."
They see a wagon go by with loads of bread and ask for a piece. The driver says that it's all spoken for because there's a ball in the palace that night.
Anastasia suggests they crash the ball. Will plans to steal her a dress.

Wonderland:
The Red Queen is in her carriage with Alice, they're heading to "The Great Divide" to get the magic dust. 
She reminds Alice of the little girl in the blue dress wanting her father's love.

Cyrus continues cutting a hole, the old man tells him about the layout of the tower.
As they talk, the bottom of the cage breaks and falls down the hole. 

Lady Gaga-Man presents Jafar with a "package."
It is the White Rabbit
Jafar propositions the rabbit to free him of his debt with the Red Queen in exchange for information on everyone that Alice has ever loved.

Cyrus plans his escape, he rocks his cage and slips out of it onto the ledge.
He nearly falls but somehow survives and knocks out the guard (getting the keys from him.)

Alice and the Queen arrive at the divide and Alice wonders how to get across. Without a bridge and without magic.
On the floor is a placard that says "The pure of heart shall make the leap"

Flashback:
Will and Anastasia are at the ball with newly borrowed clothes.
She says: I'm just going to go look around
Will: Alright, I'll be back *walks off*
Anastasia overhears someone saying "I was just admiring the crowned jewels darling" and imitates her way of speech.
She says "hello darling" out loud and a man says "most people go with 'your magesty'"
They flirt.
Will and Anastasia are discovered. Some woman accuses Anastasia of having stole the dress from her carriage.

Wonderland:
Alice: How do I know this isn't a trick to make me use a wish?
Queen: if I wanted you to fall off the cliff, I'd push you
Alice figures out it is a riddle. "Maybe it's a figurative leap. A leap of faith."
"The purest thing in my heart, my love for Cyrus." "When two people love each other, there's nothing they can't accomplish."
"Our hearts are entwined." She closes her eyes and steps off of the cliff onto an invisible bridge. After taking a few steps, she falls!!
She wakes up and starts yelling for the help of the queen.
Lady Gaga Man shows up. Queen: we failed
Man: back to the palace, your majesty
Queen: I shall be the one to tell you when we leave.

Flashback:
Anastasia: We failed. Time to go home
She forms a plan to steal the crowned jewels.

Wonderland:
Cyrus throws the keys up to the old man, he lets the keys fall.
(I'm starting to think that the old man is Jafar's father, the Sultan)

Jafar: She enjoys tea parties...
He's angry and he cuts off the rabbit's foot.
The rabbit has one minute to tell Jafar who else in Wonderland Alice cares about and he can be hole again.
"There is someone, but they're not in Wonderland."

Trapped down the hole, there is a creepy little girl saying "Alice~~"
It's a little girl in a blue dress "Hello Alice, it's lovely to see you again"
"I'm here to help you" "You know what you have to do."
Turns out, the little squirt is evil Alice. Telling real Alice to kill the queen.
Instead of killing the queen, Alice swings her sword and sticks it in the ground. The queen has tears in her eyes. 
The evil Alice turns back into the real Young Alice and then becomes the magic dust.
As real Alice is picking up the dust, she tells the queen she didn't do it "Because I'm not like you."

Flashback:
Anastasia is inside the palace searching for the crown jewels.
She finds them and breaks open the cabinet. She gets greedy and goes for the crown.
The king catches her. "It's beautiful isn't it?"

Wonderland:
The queen takes the dust and turns out she lied about the deal.
(Alice's outfit is very cute, I'm almost positive that she keeps changing it)

Elsewhere, Cyrus is escaping 
The rabbit got his foot back
Jafar tells the rabbit to "start digging"
The rabbit runs into Cyrus and tells him "Just go. Find her! Just go!"

Flashback:
The king is fascinated by Anastasia. He takes back the crown from her and offers it to her in exchange for her hand in marriage.
He leads her to the mirror and puts the crown on her head.
Anastasia: But I love another
King: Suppose you sell it, how long until it runs out?
The king makes an announcement: People of Wonderland, I give you, your queen.
Anastasia comes out onto the balcony, her lips have gotten fuller (than they were before), and she has made a dress change.
Will is heartbroken

Wonderland:
The queen takes the blanket off of Will's statue, says "I'm sorry," and then sprinkles the magic dust onto him. He turns back into a human. 
Alice uses the magic dust and tells it to show her where Cyrus is.
A tower appears and she says "I'm coming for you."
In that same moment, Cyrus emerges from the same tower and says "Alice, I'm coming for you."
We see the red amulet glowing in the distance.



More hope for the lovers. I'm so tired of seeing Anastasia's face. More Will and Alice adventures please!

November 7 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.04 The Serpent

01.04 The Serpent

A long time ago in Agrabah:
Jafar is the bastard son of the sultan. He goes to a sorceress to ask her to teach him dark magic.

Opening title sequence: a cobra

Wonderland:
The Queen is getting dressed by two Lady Gaga-like looking men.
Jafar tells her to eliminate The Knave
Alice and The Knave are chased by collectors. They split up.
Cyrus begs a guard for food and gets the wishbone
The Knave runs and hears someone beat up the collectors. It is The Queen.

Agrabah:
Jafar is all grown up
The sorceress Jafar is learning from talks about snakes and shedding skin. She poisons a man to get his liver. Jafar doesn't save the man, he is "reborn". They make out.

Wonderland:
One of the Lady Gaga men tell Jafar that The Queen has The Knave.
Knave and Queen talk. She locks him up in the prison.
Alice goes to The Caterpillar's mushroom to find Will and runs into a female collector. Her name is Elizabeth aka Lizard.
The Queen plays with a giant red and gold chess set
Jafar says something about "Alice in Wonderland"
Stupid Queen and her damn lips. I just want to punch her

Agrabah:
The magic spellbook has all the information about genies
Something about getting the 3 genies to perform a spell.
She tells him she loves him.
They make out some more.

Wonderland:
It is shown that Jafar has two genie lamps already. (Cyrus is the last one)
Cyrus has sharpened the wishbones but a guard sees him and drops it down the hole
Alice finds put that Elizabeth was friends with Will.
The Queen doesn't want will dead so she concocts a plan for the White Rabbit to help him escape.
Will dares her to kill him, she seems determined.
I just noticed Alice has a cool braid. She has a sword, uses it to get to the front of the line.
Public execution, citizens seem happy. Someone screams "off with his head"

Agrabah:
Jafar enters a bar and tells the bartender to give him his genie.
The master of a genie cannot be killed.

Wonderland:
Will is brought up to the chopping block.
The executioner is obviously a woman.
It is Alice, who frees him. They escape into the maze.
They get trapped by Jafar on one side and The Queen behind them
Jafar threatens Will by choking him.
Alice makes the wish "I wish if the knave of hearts dies, then I die."
Cyrus: Alice, what have you done?
Jafar tortures Alice (he tries to quarter her with magic.) She does not give in. Jafar turns Will into a statue.
He tells Alice that her weakness is her heart.
The Queen says "why would I want to do that darling?" in a annoying pouty voice.
Alice punches her (what we all wanted to do.)
They talk about stuff, The Queen says Wonderland is a prison.
Alice is wearing different boots from the first episode.
Jafar tells Cyrus that he'll soon be back in his bottle.

Agrabah:
Jafar gives the sorceress a cup of wine, it's obviously poisoned .
It was a potion to steal her magical essence.
Jafar turns her into a serpent (he finally says her name, Amara)
He then turns the snake into his cobra staff.

Wonderland:
Cyrus pulls the smaller half of the wishbone out of his shirt. He says that it's a myth about wishing on the larger half. That it was a story created by genies to get them to stop looking for bottles.
Jafar's staff blinks.
Alice sleeps at the base of a tree looking up at the very, very starry sky.
Cyrus talks about how all a wishbone wants is to be reunited with their other half (camera pans to Alice)
He uses the smaller wishbone to draw up the bigger piece. since it is sharpened, it cuts through the cage. Soon Cyrus will be able to escape!




I am loving this show but this episode made me miss once upon a time a little bit. I felt so bad for Cyrus when Alice made that wish, but she had to do it. I really hope she never makes the other two wishes, that way they can remain together. Since she can never die, does that mean she is also immortal?

October 24 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.03 Forget Me Not

01.03 Forget Me Not

It's nice that they give you a recap of the previous episode at the beginning, but it starts to get annoying if you've been watching tv shows all day like I have. (I've been studying for exams so I've barely watched anything this past week. I've got a very long list of shows to get through!)

Bandits. Merry Men. Robin Hood. Am I watching the right show?
Oh...Will (the Knave) shows up

Forget Me Not. Magic rope that shows the past.
Jafar intercepted the message Alice wrote back. The book
The Caterpillar has the magic rope.
It's (the mushroom) a lot bigger than it looks on the outside. 
Hmmmm it's a knot not a not. (Can you knot? No I cannot knot.)
Aww man the knot is with The Grindel who lives in the Whispering Wood
There are fates worse than death. He lifts a lid and there's a severed screaming head

Flashback:
Blood oath with the Merry Men
Robin Hood mentions they steal from the rich and give to the pour
Maleficent is mentioned
Will returns home to a woman
She's blond and naked in the bed. Who might it be?

The Bandersnatch. Red Queen's idea for making Alice use a wish
LOL The Grindel looks like the Elephant Man
They are captured, Will suggests that Alice uses one of her wishes. She says no.


Flashback:
The Merry Men enter Maleficent's castle
Will searches for something...

This reminds me of Hansel and Gretel 
The Grendel is talking to himself.
Or perhaps he's looking at the Forget Me Knot and looking at a past memory
Jafar and the queen give the scent from the folded crane to the Bandersnatch and tells it to find Alice
Will talks about knowing how it feels to lose someone he loves
He tells the Grendel that the best way is to move on
Alice looks mad

Flashback:
They have the chest of gold from Maleficent's castle
A chest of gold is not as beautiful as a woman - or something like that

Alice asks who Will was in love with. Was it Anastasia?
They escape the rope by using the sharpness of the wishes but the door is jammed
As they open the door, the Bandersnatch appears there
They capture it using the Forget Me Knot
Will runs of and then comes back with a short knife and stabs it to death
Alice is happy that Cyrus taught her all about the Bandersnatch and that it was a message from Cyrus.
They find out the Grendel's backstory and they get the knot

Flashback:
Will leaves the camp but gets caught by Robin Hood
He says that "You'll meet the fate you've earned, the fate you deserve"

Jafar and the Red Queen greet Grendel in his house
They find out Alice is traveling with a companion
Stupid queen's stupid lips....
Jafar kills Grendel (reunites him with his wife)
They find out that the White Rabbit was the one who gave the bottle to the Red Queen
Jafar shows up at the Caterpillar's hive
Will doesn't want to give the knot to the Caterpillar because stealing it for himself makes him a thief. Stealing it for Alice means he still has a shred of humanity left

Flashback:
Hooded man (Will obviously) rides to a cabin and calls out to Anastasia
A woman runs out
It's the Red Queen!!!!
She runs and hugs Will
He tells her that he got it and shows her The Looking Glass
They use it to "take us far away from here"
(She says Will's last name but I don't understand it)
Anastasia (somehow) knows that that the place they're going is called Wonderland
"Next stop, Wonderland"



Biggest surprise of the episode was finding out Will was in love with the Red Queen. 
But it was lovely seeing just how connected Cyrus and Alice are.

October 17 - OUAT in Wonderland 01.02 Trust Me

01.02 Trust Me

Yup, it has taken me more than a week to watch this

Agrabah!! Jafar wants Cyrus way back then?
Alice is attacking a tree......
"The clothes horse came back." ("Of course it did") Yeah her outfit is pretty cute
She said "wish for something small and innocent..." and the only thing in my mind was a cupcake....she said cupcake!
Mimsy Meadows. Tum Tum Tree.....so gross... lol Care Bear

Cyrus keeps waking up saying Alice's name! Their love is real indeed!

The way the queen's men's faces are painted reminds me of the people who live at The Capitol in The Hunger Games lol. And her outfit. Love her hair!
Jafar makes her subjects disappear
The walls have ears because they're literally ears.
There are giant mushrooms everywhere!

I wish the stupid queen would stop with the pouty face. It's not attractive.

The Knave is afraid of water.
Alice says they'll just take the Ferry. I swear, I hear "fairy."
Oh wait...it IS "fairy"
Hey it's Silvermist! And they fly!

Apparently Cyrus's cage is made of silver
Hey is that old man in the other cage the old man from the Aladdin movie? Hmm

Flashback:
 "Mistress mine, thine will is mine." 
Boy Alice was pale back then! 
Laws of magic: I can't kill anyone. I can't bring anyone back from the dead. I can't change the past (this is new). And I can't make anyone fall in love. (Oops! Too late!)
What if she wishes for his freedom? Aww won't work
They're already falling for each other!

LOL Silvermist enacts her revenge in the middle of the lake by dropping Will (the knave) into the water.
Good thing there's a random rock floating there

Flashback:
Alice and Cyrus are getting to know each other
They have a cute conversation
Cyrus gives her a paper rose with magic paper so it smells good and blooms while in her hand!
She asks if he can teach her to play a sword. (As he laughs, the paper turns red)

Red Queen. Again with the pouty lips.....-_-x
Alice angrily stomps on the rock and it begins to move. I think it might be a turtle.... Yup, it's a turtle!! Time to ride Lapris!! (It is a mock turtle)

Flashback:
Cyrus and Alice practicing sword fighting
I love what she wears in this show
"It's hard to be happy again when you've lost someone you love"
Flirtationship!!  He steals the sword from him and while she runs, he puts his arms up around her. She becomes "creative" and kisses him. He reciprocates. 

Silvermist mentions an Anastasia

Flashback:
Alice wakes to Cyrus gazing at her
He tells her it is time to make her wishes
And that he's falling in love with her
She tells him that he is everything she has ever wished for and she will never make the wishes
They make a deal "I'll never move on from you if you never move on from me"
Cyrus comes up with a plan to bury the bottle


Jafar shows up in front of the tree and releases the scarabs and they search for the bottle
We find out the bottle isn't really there
Now Alice says he can trust Will and they make their way to the real location of the bottle: Passage made of Peace -> Tower of Tigers -> The Windmill -> The Dandylion. OH NO THERE'S A HOLE IN THE GROUND! The bottle, it's gone!
She says maybe he's moved on :(
Cyrus sticks his hand out of the cage with a folded origami crane and says "find her"

Bunch of stuff happens but I blacked out. Alice gets the paper crane and she opens it (nice writing Cyrus!):
My dearest Alice, it took several lifetimes to meet you but only seconds to love you. And it is a love that cannot be broken. Not by a thousand spells or swords. So it is with my heart in your hands, that I ask you to grant me one wish. Leave Wonderland. You are not safe here. And you cannot save me. The only thing worse than my own demise would be knowing that I have caused yours. I beg you to go home. And know that I am with you always. 
Forever thine.
Forever mine.
Cyrus

First of all, who talks like that? (It's okay, I love it!) Secondly, Alice's hands are strategically placed on the paper so that it doesn't cover the words. 
Will says "I thought that when you truly love somebody, you don't need to have any proof."
"You don't, but it's still nice to have." Amen sister! You can never get tired of someone telling you they love you.
She turns the paper around, uses her FINGER and writes "I'm coming For you!" (nice writing, this really is magic paper!)
She folds it into four, the paper goes out of shot and then it becomes a crane again.

October 10 - OUAT in Wonderland Series Premier

01.01 Down the Rabbit Hole


    The woods. A table. Teacups. A doll with a hat. A rabbit. Sudden explosion! Little girl crawls out of a hole in the ground. She says "Home" and starts running and yelling for her father. Her dad is shocked to see her and tells her that she has been gone for a very long time. In the next scene, Alice is looking through the key hole and sees her father telling someone about Alice's story and claiming that she made it all up.

:cut scene: present day

    The knave of hearts walks through Storybrook through a storm. He walks in the street causing Emma's car to swerve (but we don't see her). Next, he goes to grandmother's cafe and bumps into Cinderella (I think) and Grumpy who are locking up. He steals the keys and goes in to drink a cup of coffee while waiting for something. And that something is the White Rabbit. He's dressed quite dapper! He has red eyes and red glasses.

:cut scene: Bethlem Asylum London, England

     Creepy music. Girl in wheel chair with creepy doll. Crazy looking people peeping out of their rooms' windows. Alice walking with two men leading her. Doctor questions Alice. She is all grown up. She says that she doesn't remember. She has to explain to the doctor where she REALLY was.

:cut scene: Hookah smoking caterpillar

     Alice is all grown up, she runs out from under the caterpillar's mushroom cap. She eats a magic mushroom and starts to shrink while she's running away. She goes into the maze and gets knocked over while the force from the (unseen) guard's footstep pushes her into the dirt under the maze. She sees a bottle lying on the ground and enters it. Turns out....it belongs to Cyrus the genie. They talk about Agrabah. They have great chemistry and they just met! Cyrus (slyly) asks Alice if she's married. I already ship this couple! They're just falling in love with each other in front of our eyes.

    The doctor continues talking (he mentions pirates, mermaids, and falling in love) and then next we see Alice and Cyrus standing in front of the boiling sea. She says her famous line of "curiouser and curiouser". She almost falls in and Cyrus saves her. But I say, he pushed her in. He gets down on one knee and before he could say anything, she screams yes! They kiss, then Cyrus pulls out a glowing amulet and says "Now our hearts are entwined"
    As the lovers embrace, we hear marching. They both look scared and Cyrus yells "Alice, run!" My question is: where? She has no where to go except into the boiling water because they are standing on a cliff!!!
     The Red Queen appears with her men. I could have sworn I thought it was supposed to be a Victoria's Secret model, but it's not.... I also remember seeing her in a different dress before this. The pair fights with the guards, Cyrus falls into the sea, Alice cries.
    The doctor tells Alice that they have a procedure for taking away her pain. It can help her forget whatever or whomever she's holding onto. My first thought was OH NO IT'S A LOBOTOMY!!! She considers it by asking "does it hurt?" The doctor hands Alice a pen and tells her to sign the contract.
    Next, we see Alice in her room, laying on her bed sleeping, she says "Cyrus." Then it cuts away to a tray of tools and we see the doctor pick up one that looks like it is supposed to be used to drill her head open. Definitely worse than a lobotomy. He tells the nurses to "fetch the girl" as Alice suddenly wakes up, looks outside the door, and pretends to sleep. Who opens the door, but the KNAVE OF HEARTS!! The nurses grab him (and holds Alice down with one hand - like that will do anything). She sits and doesn't resist until the Knave says "he's alive! the white rabbit saw him." Suddenly Alice gets all awesome and starts beating all the nurses up (while the Knave watches from the side.) She grabs her boots from under the bed and starts bashing heads in!
     The doctor tries to stop Alice but she says that the procedure has been cancelled (or something like that) and then they exit to the streets. I'm wondering if these people walking around out here knew that there's an insane asylum right next to them.
     They run through the little "bazaar" I only call it this because it reminds me of the place where Aladdin met Jasmine in the movie Aladdin. They come to a dead end and Alice demands the rabbit to "dig." He creates a glowing blue portal on the wall and the two humans jump in. They land on this white surface and jump up and down. It's called a mallow marsh. (A marsh made out of marshmallows!) The White Rabbit says he was having tea with the Dormouse and the Dormouse said that he saw Cyrus in the Mad Hatter's house. (Something about dragonflies being real dragons in Wonderland) And where is that house located? The Tulgey Woods of course! This episode is only half over....

      Alice offers to pay the Knave with wishes that she keeps in her boots. I can't believe that she just showed him where she keeps them! As the Rabbit goes to find someone to help Alice, he runs into the Red Queen. I'm excited!
     The Red Queen's castle looks like a bunch of chess pieces stuck together (in a good way.) Oh no! The White Rabbit is spying on Alice for the Red Queen. Poor Alice...
      Jafar appears on the Red Queen's balcony! He wants the genie's bottle but that only works after Alice has used the wishes. Which means, she hasn't used any of the three wishes yet. True Love indeed... Jafar tries to choke the Queen but she says he will never be able to find Alice without her help. Jafar jumps off the balcony and onto a flying carpet (just like Aladdin!)
      Tired of wandering around, Alice climes a tree to look for the Hatter's house. The Knave takes this chance to steal Alice's boots with the wishes in them. While on the tree, Alice encounters the Cheshire. This excites me!
      Cheshire looks like a wild animal, he's giant and has dirty hair, red eyes, and of course that famous grin. Right now, Cheshire is trying to eat Alice because there's no more meat in these here woods. The Knave returns and jumps on the Cat's tail. He takes a piece of mushroom and throws it into the cat's mouth. It turns into a kitty and runs off meowing. Alice and the Knave walks off and I'm wondering...why didn't Alice take the stick?
     They arrive at the Hatter's house and Alice runs in yelling Cyrus's name. I just remembered that the Hatter is Jefferson in OUAT (and I think he died or something.) White Rabbit shows up and Alice finds out that Cyrus is dead. Alice cries as she walks outside, but she sees something glowing in the grass (at first, I thought it was another wish.) Turns out, it is the glowing amulet that Cyrus was wearing when they proposed. Alice talks about how much she loves Cyrus and that "when you love someone, you know." While she's saying this, I can't stop thinking that the Knave must be so in love with her.
     We flash to Cyrus who is asleep in a cage. He wakes up whispering Alice's name (just like earlier when Alice whispered 'Cyrus' when she woke up). Flashback: when Cyrus fell off the cliff, the magic carpet was there to catch him (with Jafar commanding the carpet). We find out that Jafar has Cyrus captive in a cage hanging by a long chain, in a tall tower, in Wonderland.

:pan out: to outside, we see a road and Alice, Knave, White Rabbit walking on it, towards where Cyrus is being held captive. The animation here is cheesy and not the best it could be but I'm still quite excited to see how this season goes. I like it so far (but could be because I loved the book.)
